Chilean entrepreneurs will travel to Boston for an in-person acceleration program

August 2, 2022

For three months, Corfo, ProChile and ChileMass have carried out a digital acceleration process for 48 startups, which were selected by ChileMass Emprende 2022. A few days ago, the 15 finalist ventures were announced, chosen to travel to Boston in October, one of the world's most important ecosystems for innovation, entrepreneurship and technological development. With the selection of this group of technology companies from different industries, such as education, clean energy and food, ChileMass will begin preparing an intense agenda of meetings and workspaces for this year's finalists. ChileMass's executive director, Fernanda Soza, stated that “these are startups with enormous potential to make an economic, social, and environmental impact. They have nothing to envy in their American counterparts, which is why we want to open real opportunities for them in these markets.”

For her part, Carmen Contreras, Corfo's entrepreneurship manager, also addressed the issue, noting that "networks and direct connections for the acceleration and internationalization processes of Chilean startups are fundamental to achieving accelerated growth in ventures with high social and economic impact." “That is why at Corfo we have a strong commitment to reinforce and continue working to generate international networking spaces and opportunities, which support Chilean technology ventures so that they can achieve new connections, allowing them to improve their products or services, as well as access a network that opens up opportunities for them in other markets around the world,” he added.

Finally, the national director of ProChile, Lorena Sepúlveda, indicated that “through ChileMass Emprende, the 48 selected startups will be able to validate their business model with world-class experts, improve them, adjust them, enhance their technologies and of course, expand their networks of contacts with different actors in the ecosystem.” This year's startups will stay in Cambridge, Massachusetts, for at least two weeks, where they will be hosted by the ChileMass team at their offices in the Cambridge Innovation Center. This will mark the beginning of their international program, which includes personalized activity guides and networking opportunities to enhance their technology or business model.

The selected ventures were the following: CloudPromo Analytics, Biombillas, Blups, EMMA, FACTO, Kon3cta, MDEyeCare, MyRIAM System, Neocrop Technologies, Nua Talker, Ocean Arks Tech, P&M Foods, Remote Waters, SIDGMAN Coupling and T-share.
