The international startup and technology entrepreneurship event Startup Olé will hold its third roadshowthrough Latin America between February and April 2021.
Following the success of its digital edition in Spain, held from September 9th to 11th, Startup Olé has announced this new event, with confirmed dates for Colombia on February 25th and Argentina on March 11th. They have also indicated that the schedule will later be completed with events in Brazil, Chile, and Mexico.
The goal of this initiative, according to the organizers, is to interconnect entrepreneurial ecosystems "by opening an exclusive door to the international market, bringing together corporations, investors, accelerators, business schools and media."
The events will feature activities such as roundtables on investment in the region, as well as pitch competitions and matchmaking between international corporations and investors with Latin American startups and scaleups , among others.
The 10 winners of the pitch competitions in each country will receive a pass to Startup Olé 2021, which will take place from September 8 to 10 next year.
Likewise, the first-place finisher in the events in Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and Mexico will receive a direct pass to the Startup World Cup Grand Finale, where they will compete for one million dollars (824,946 euros at the current exchange rate) in investment, which will take place in May 2021 in San Francisco.
In the last edition, the sixth, 226 startups or scaleups participated , along with 48 key players in the system. Twelve emerging companies earned a place in the global final.
Specifically, the award-winning results were TwynCare (in the autotech category), Starke (energy and sustainability), Ntente (logistics), ArtForge (media), Intelligent Traffic Control (mobility), VU Security (blockchain, cybersecurity and fintech), Encantado de Comerte (humanitarian technology), Perfect Numbers (agritech), Travaxy (traveltech), Mirai 3D (biotech), Robo.AI (edtech) and NeuroSoV (winner in the University Pavilion).
