Remote Waters, born in Algarrobo, was one of the winners of the Aster Demo and received significant funding to expand its impact.
Access to clean drinking water is a global challenge, and in Chile, many communities still face difficulties obtaining this essential resource. In this context, the startup Remote Waters, founded in 2018 in Algarrobo, has established itself as an innovative water purification solution. Its rapid installation technology has benefited more than 20 projects and has allowed it to expand its operations to three countries.
The company, which started with seed funding from CORFO, specializes in the design, integration, and maintenance of water purification systems for communities with limited access. “Our mission is to bring clean and safe water to those who need it most, using practical and sustainable technology,” said Pablo Cassorla, CEO and founder of Remote Waters.
Recognition and expansion
The startup's growth received a new boost after its participation in Aster Demo, a program of the Aster accelerator, backed by Escondida | BHP. Remote Waters was one of the winning startups, obtaining US$20,000 in funding to continue its expansion.
“Aster’s support validates our work and allows us to scale our operations. Furthermore, it opens doors for us in the mining ecosystem, where we can help reduce the water footprint with reuse solutions in camps and operations,” explained Cassorla.
Remote Waters' plans include expanding its franchise to other countries and developing new water management solutions. "We want to broaden our services to include water auditing, to help communities and businesses address their challenges related to water access and efficient use," concluded its founder.
