These are the companies T Phite, dedicated to transforming tire waste; Mercado Circular, an initiative that promotes a product refill system to avoid plastic consumption; and Remote Waters. The Climate Change Conference (COP28) will be held this Saturday, December 2nd.
Members of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem of the Valparaíso Region are packing their bags to represent the territory at the United Nations Climate Change Conference.
These are T Phite, a company that transforms tire waste into battery material for electromobility; Mercado Circular, which avoids the use of plastics through a product recharging system; and Remote Waters, a venture that develops a technology that purifies water while avoiding CO2 emissions.
The group of innovative entrepreneurs are part of a delegation made up of 15 companies from all over the country, selected by ProChile, through a public call.
Benardita Díaz, CEO of TPite, commented in a publication by El Mercurio de Valparaíso that "My expectations are to take advantage of COP25 to convey that Chile and the region are developing high technology. We are going to look for investors and venture capital firms that want to support us."
Similarly, Carolina Herrera, Customer Experience Manager at Mercado Circular, said that "this is an important recognition of the work we have been doing since 2017 (...) As part of this delegation, we will showcase the model and also learn about what is being done in the world to transition from the current linear economy to a circular one."
Finally, Pablo Cassorla, from Remote Waters, highlighted that this type of event allows progress on issues related to Climate Change, "It is important because many foundations and companies that need to connect with a solution like ours attend."
