Softys Peru, a leading company in the development of products and solutions for care and hygiene, has been recognized with the 2024 Water Responsible Company (EHR) Seal, awarded by Aquafondo and supported by the Global Water Partnership, in recognition of its outstanding work in the sustainable management of water in its operations and its commitment to the well-being of the community.
This distinction highlights the actions carried out within the framework of its social investment program “Softys Contigo: Más Cuidado Para Todos” (Softys With You: More Care for All), which has provided solutions that improve access to safe water for more than 3,000 Peruvians in San Vicente, Cañete, through its pillars of water and sanitation, hygiene education and timely assistance.
Notable initiatives include the groundwater purification project installed in three communities near the Softys production plant. Using an automatic chlorinated solution injection technology developed by the Chilean company Remote Waters, the water from the affected community wells is made safe for human consumption in a self-managed and cost-effective manner.
Furthermore, thanks to a regional partnership with the NGO Techo and corporate volunteering, the company is building water towers and family handwashing stations to provide adequate water storage for families in Cañete and community kitchens in San Juan de Lurigancho, who previously stored water in unsuitable containers. In this way, Softys reaffirms its active contribution to the country's sustainable development, which stems from a robust Sustainability Strategy for 2028.
