Water purification for rural communities with solar-powered machines

Having access to clean and safe water. This basic need is among the most significant issues of rural communities, especially those affected by water scarcity and climate change. Moreover, exposure to polluted sources makes people vulnerable to diseases and affects their quality of life. To face this problem, a Chilean startup developed an off-grid technology that uses solar panels to purify water from different sources, including the sea and rivers.

The zero-emission system of Remote Waters applies reverse osmosis to clean water, and can be transported and installed quickly. They have already activated stations in various regions of Chile and are negotiating to bring their solutions to other countries.
